How to Choose the Best Series 7 Study Guide

Seven things the best Series 7 books and courses have in common — and an honest look at how Series 7 Mastery measures up.

By Muhammad Babar, MBA · Updated

There is no single best Series 7 study guide for everyone. Some candidates learn best from a textbook, others from video, others from thousands of drilled questions. What matters is that your main resource meets a few non-negotiable standards. Use this checklist on any book or course you are considering, including this one.

Book, course or question bank?

  • A book is the best way to learn the concepts and the math in order, at your own pace, and is the least expensive option.
  • A video course helps if you learn by listening, but is slower to review.
  • A question bank is valuable in the final two to three weeks for timed drilling. It is not a substitute for understanding the material.

A common, effective combination is a complete book for learning plus a timed question bank for final practice. Whatever you choose, follow a plan — see how to pass the Series 7.
